About Joy Horn

Joy helps clients to adopt healthier self-care routines. She empowers and encourages dental clients with her compassionate conversation style to build a "We are in this together," working relationship. 

Joy has had many diverse and richly rewarding experiences over the course of her forty-year dental hygiene career. She considers herself fortunate to have been adjunct faculty at both, the University of New Mexico and Rowan College at Burlington County, N.J., and to have worked in public health, private and collaborative practice settings. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration and a Master's of Science degree in Dental Hygiene Advanced Practitioner, she has devoted many years of study to blend health education with wellness coaching as a first-line approach to improve oral and whole-body health.

Joy's personal experience with the onset of autoimmune afflictions in 1999, was the catalyst to offer personalized oral health programs on the connection between chronic inflammation, periodontal infection and autoimmunity. She designs sessions to custom-fit each client's unique situation and mindset.

With the aim to uncover causes rather than treat symptoms, Joy works with clients to quell their dental fears, recover from dental infections, put an end to breath odor problems, and reduce the risk of adverse health related conditions. 

Knowing that good health starts with a healthy mouth,  comprehensive saliva testing along with additional biomarkers serve to provide objective, personalized data is used to enhance and sustain your oral health.
